FUTURES are on sale until December 31, 2008. These wines are released for pickup or shipping February 1, 2009, and most orders ship in the first two weeks of February.<BR><BR>The 2007 Clos Pepe Estate Pinot Noir is a wine that caps three very cool and very long growing seasons here in the Sta Rita Hills (2005, 2006, 2007). Following this wine in barrel has been a rare privilege. To get so much richness and flavor out of a wine right at or under 14% alcohol is a dream for a winemaker who values restraint and elegance over concentration and extract. The wine has beautiful, saturated dense garnet color, the characteristic blackberry, blueberry and strawberry fruit supported by good acidity and some lovely mineral notes.<BR><BR>It's hard to pinpoint how a wine will mature, but with the 2005 and 2006's really starting to settle down and strut their stuff, I have great faith that this will be another great wine for either drinking young and fruity, or allowing to settle for up to a decade in a cellar.</P>
