A blend of frantoio, leccino, pendolino and maurino varieties of olive trees, all 100% Estate grown here at Clos Pepe.
The oil is always very fresh, green and pungent on release and grows slowly more buttery as the oil matures. Crafted in the true Tuscan style, the oil has great black and white pepper character in the finish with up-front flavors of apple, artichoke and wheatgrass.
As with our previous oils, we expect a very pungent and aggressive Tuscan style oil with flavors of black pepper, grassy-ness, artichoke and subtle fruit flavors and excellent intensity and robustness.
